Growing up in the Rockies of Colorado, Betty Elaine Chandler began formal music training at age 4. Her gift for music led to degrees in voice and piano. She moved to Utah to find her very talented husband Brad Owen and from that time until now it's been a song and a dance…literally! Including acclaimed performances from the West Coast to the Deep South. Having recently left the lush surrounding of Northwest Washington , The Owen Family currently finds inspiration from the surroundings of Southern Utah 's color country where they put their many talents to use in composing, performing, teaching, directing and producing their music.

Now Married and parents of five children, Brad and Betty find their greatest joy and moments come from being parents of and making home a little bit of heaven.

Brook (18) and Brittany (16) recently graduated from Dixie State College with their associate degrees. Bryan (12) will soon be receiving his Eagle Scout award and Barbara (5) and Benjamin (3) are enjoying being active and being home schooled by their mom.

Every performance of The Brad Owen Family is fun, entertaining, and full of delightful music. Their enthusiasm engages and involves their audience right from the start. They have performed at libraries, schools, community events, fairs and festivals throughout the United States for over 19 Years.

The Brad Owen family moved to Saint George from Seattle, WA about 5 years ago. They continue to delight audiences everywhere with their variety show which includes musical selections from their original compositions along with clogging to tunes everyone will recognize.

The family has three music Cd's currently available both in local stores and on the Internet at www.tsbrecord.com < http://www.tsbrecord.com/ >. Each of these Cd's express a unique and individual style all their own.

Peace was the first CD the family released in 1997, which is an original compilation of religious vocal and piano music that can be enjoyed at the dinner table, or anytime peace is needed.

The next CD, Elaine, was created by a 9 foot Kawaii Grand Piano and the delightfully inspiring touch of Betty Owen. Each of the original songs where recorded by Spiral Studios here in Saint George to make a perfect mix of relaxing new-age music that is used for meditation, relaxation and inspiration.

The Most recent CD */ Owen Family Celtic Christmas/* is a collection of several traditional Christmas songs and also some original Christmas songs all played by the Wooden Tantrum with a Celtic flavor... this is a great CD for Christmas (or any other time!).
